Company Profile THE PRODUCTS Athlecon currently provides software, training, software support and customization to clinical laboratories and diagnostic companies.  The company’s proprietary software, “QC-D™” (Daily QC), assesses individual results from daily QC that is interactively linked to “QC-E™” (Expert QC) through “QC-AL™” (Automated Link). It also provides a unique service to collect, analyze and compare individual laboratory data immediately with a world wide peer group at the touch of a button over the Internet. Our suite of products converts statistical data to graphical information and provides expert advice on appropriate action to maintain testing processes within quality specifications. Essentially, computerized algorithms will monitor performance indicators and signal appropriate action to the instrument operator. This software suite will provide advancements in quality management that are not available today.  The ability to automate much of the QC process and provide centralized consolidation of QC performance will provide many advantages in efficiency and effectiveness to clinical laboratories.  The improvements in quality performance and savings in time and consumables with our system are well documented. The software is completely proprietary and uses several software protection methodologies in addition to copyright protection.  THE BUSINESS CONCEPT Athlecon Corporation provides niche products and services to simplify statistical interpretation in quality management.  We have developed a suite of products to simplify quality management on a global scale and provide a stand-alone software program, integrated to Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) or diagnostic instruments and as a service on the Internet. Athlecon’s unique software converts data to information and uses standard and customized algorithms to recommend appropriate action.    Our first application “QC-D™” is used in the clinical laboratory market to control the QC on the daily basis. “QC-E™” will show the performance of each analytical method compared to its defined quality requirement, highlight which methods need corrective action, and recommend processes to maintain quality performance.  In simpler terms for example, it shows a lab if their cholesterol method is performing well enough to let a doctor accurately prescribe the appropriate diet for his patient. “QC-E™” provides medical laboratories significant cost and time saving while delivering higher quality of laboratory testing procedures and results. The software is internet-enabled and is the most comprehensive clinical laboratory quality management system available today, with Internet links, updates and benchmarking services.  Our new suite of products will maximize computer data-analysis and logical capabilities to virtually automate the quality management process.
